Three Warren G. Harding Seniors Sign Their National Letters of Intent (VIDEO & UPDATED COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYER LIST)

“It’s always a great day in Warren, Ohio when we have some gentlemen moving on to learn how to make an impact on society.”

Those were the words of Harding head football coach Matt Richardson as he introduced the three latest members to the lengthy list of (soon-to-be) alumni who have progressed to the collegiate football level. Those names include Ellis Daniels (Virginia Military Institute), Anthony Simpson (Lake Erie College), and Rai’twan Hill (Allegheny College).

“They were pillars of our program,” Richardson added. “They built our foundation and they did a great job of showing the underclassmen how to carry themselves as young men and how to lead the football team.”

Coming into the day, it wasn’t widely known exactly where Daniels was going to end up as he saved his big reveal for today. Prior to announcing his decision to select VMI over offers from Drake and Georgetown, he credited several individuals for helping him along the road that he has travelled. That includes his older brother James, who is currently a first string offensive guard for the Miami Dolphins.

“I want to thank my brothers that pushed me, especially James,” Daniels said in his speech. “He would critique me after every game when we would FaceTime on Sundays.”
